VARIABLE NAME: SUF

DESCRIPTOR: Program Code Suffix

DEFINITION:  Used in conjunction with the PROGCD (CIP) variable to further define the disciplines of majors, courses, degrees conferred, and faculty.  This code is assigned by the Commission on Higher Education and allows for institutions in South Carolina to have a unique program name.


VALUES:  Suffix: 000-009

NOTE:  The majority of the suffixes will be reported as 000. For example,

131101 000 = School Counseling and Guidance Services

131101 001 = Secondary School Counseling
