DESCRIPTOR: Undergraduate Degree (Graduate Students)

DEFINITION: For a currently enrolled graduate student, the type of institution from which the individual received their most recent undergraduate degree.

VALUES:

• 1 = Same as current enrollment
  2 = Another in-state institution
  3 = An out-of-state institution in the US
  4 = A non-US institution
  5 = Not applicable
  6 = Unknown

NOTE: The following correlation applies to the Student Level and the Undergraduate Degree data elements:

• If STULVL = '01','02','03', '04', '05', or '06', UGDEG must = '5' or '6'
  If STULVL = '07','08', or '09', UGDEG must = '1', '2', '3', '4', or '6'
