October 26 1993 - Comments on learning objectives summarized.
November 10 1993 - Oral and Written Communications Subcommittee met.
November 15 1993 - Discussion of math and science criteria.
November 17 1993 - Oral and Written Communications Subcommittee met to review writing criteria from Clayton State College.
November 17 1993 - Full committee met.
December 1 1993 - Science and Math Sub-committee met.
December 7 1993 - Guidelines for sub-committee proposals were distributed.
December 15 1993 - Humanities, Social Sciences and Art Sub-committee met.
January 11 1994 - Humanities, Social Sciences and Art Sub-committee distributed their assessment criteria.
January 27 1994 - Assessment Advisory Committee determined they are not duplicating the work of the Core Curriculum Committee (.pdf)
February 26 1994 - Humanities, Social Sciences and Art criteria revised to be more compatible with criteria for the other sections.
February 28 1994 - Goals, objectives, criteria and methodologies for each subcommittee distributed.
Spring 1994 - Assessment plan developed for course level, program level, college level and university level.

April 7 1994 - Proposal for Oral Communication project sent to Provost
April 15 1994 - SACS sent revision of Criteria for Accreditation to University executive officers.
May 6 1994 - President John Palms responded to SACS revisions.
May 10 1994 - Concerns expressed over treatment of numerical and analytical reasoning requirement.
May 31 1994 - Full committee met and discussed the importance of oral communication skills in the general education requirements.
June 1 1994 - Committee responded to concerns over numerical and analytical reasoning requirement.
June 2 1994 - Committee requested clarity from the Provost regarding policy and implementation of assessment plan.
June 8 1994 - Guidelines for writing criteria distributed to committee.
